Hi! I am a 46 year old married mother of 3 children ages 9, 18 and 23 and need donations or grants to pay back my student loans. I graduate today with a BS in IT - Multimedia & Visual Communication (3.77 GPA) earned recently in Dec. 2010. My student loans are looming to be paid back starting in June 2011 and I cannot afford to pay it back at this time ($600/mo). My 18 year old honor student needs a car and insurance and because we will have her student loans and the added car and insurance payments, there is no money left to pay off my student loans. Our credit is not good due to a house fire on Christmas Eve 2007 (full renovation) that resulted in a bankruptcy in 2008, so debt consolidation is not an option. My only hope is to defer my loans if possible while she is in college, but my student loan debt will remain. I am willing to teach computer lessons in my community via the computer or locally (Baton Rouge, LA) to those who cannot afford to pay, if a business or organization would in turn donate to pay back my student loans ($60,000+). My heart is for the community and I love to help people learn!!

We are a couple that are engaged to be married in the next month. We have been together for over 4 years. Together we have 6 kids ranging in age from 18 months to 16 years old. 3 of the kids are mine and 2 are hers, and one we had together. When we first met things were great, we both had good jobs and great income. Times have changed for the worse. We have been getting in more and more trouble for the last year and a half. We have borrowed from the family that is able to help us, but they can't help anymore. The help we got from them kept us in our home for the time, but it was not any real significance. We about to get evicted and our electirc is going to be turned off. Add to that the fact that my car is about to be repossed, taking away my ability to work, which hurts our income. We both work, and we are not just looking for someone to give us money. We just need a loan to get back on our feet and get our bills caught up to be manageable once again. We are looking for somewhere with lower rent and she has just started a job making better money. With what I pay in child support and insurance on the kids, not much of my pay is left. I have figured what we need to get caught up. We would work out a paymant plan to pay back the loan, and I have skills such as light mechanical, home and electronics repair, that could also work off some of the debt. If we could just get back to stable, we will be okay. We are church going people that have asked the Lord for help, and I believe that is how I ended up here. We take full responsibility four our situation, but we can not figure a way out. we have nowhere to turn, and it is already put a strain on our relationship. We have fights, not about money, but the stress of the money situation causes fights about ohter things. I am begging anyone out there who can help to please do. We are loving people who have helped others in the past and will in the future. Please contact me if you can help.

I am writing to ask and hopefully get some answers on some questions that I have. First off my main objective is to pay off my school loans. I live in a low income area. I owe almost 50,000 dollars in school loans. While I was going to college I don't know how I never recieved any finiancial aid for school because my dad made 50,000 dollars and my mom was a stay home mom. My father supported me, my brother, my sister and my nephew. How they expected him to pay for college is beyond me. I am now working full time and make 30,000 a year, but after rent, a car payment, insurance, gas, food, all the other bills ... I can hardly pay for brakes when I need them. My loans have been in def. since 2002. Now interest is getting charged and I have no way to pay it!!! No way!!! I stress over it everyday and am looking for some serious help in paying these loans. There has to be a way I can get the government to look at my status from before til now and help me with my situation. Atleast I am praying for this. I don't know how to live a stress free day because I know I have all this money to pay back with no income to do so.
Hi,
You mention that you make a decent wage. Probably this could help you get a low-income loan, unless the salary is above the threshold of low-income, thus making you illegible for such a loan. You may want to check the link in the next section. This link leads to a page with a lot of information about low-income loans.
